Veulens van Olympische hengsten in KWPN Online Veulenveiling

Op de slotdag sluiten de kavels vanaf 20.00 uur. Verervers als de Olympische hengsten Ferro en Glock’s Toto Jr. alsmede opkomende talenten als Extreme U.S., One Million en Kjento zijn vertegenwoordigd in deze veiling.

Internationale etalage

Het veilingplatform KWPN Auctions heeft zich de afgelopen jaren ontwikkeld tot een internationale etalage waar fokkers en kopers veelvuldig samenkomen. Dit is de derde veulenveiling uit een totaal van zeven edities van de KWPN Online Veulenveiling, in de maanden juli tot en met oktober.

Ferro

In 2000 maakte Coby van Baalen met Ferro deel uit van het zilveren team op de Olympische Spelen in Sydney. Met USA (mv. Jameson RS) wordt een talentvol hengstveulen aangeboden in deze veiling. Dit jaar schitterde Glock’s Toto Jr. op de Olympische Spelen met Hans Peter Minderhoud en hij is binnen deze collectie vertegenwoordigd door het hengstveulen Ubis (mv. Ferdeaux). Beide veulens komen uit moederlijnen waaruit al meerdere Lichte Tour-paarden gefokt zijn. 

Interessant is ook bijvoorbeeld het hengstveulen Uzzo O (Ozzy TN x Rousseau), wiens moeder Zialita O eerder al de Zweeds gekeurde hengst Edison O (v. Johnson) en KWPN-kampioenshengst Handsome O (v. Johnson) bracht. Uit een halfzus van de KWPN-goedgekeurde hengst Pjethro (v. Kjento) komt het merrieveulen Unique-Olympic (For Ferrero x Franklin).

Genoeg voor springliefhebbers te kiezen

De dressuurveulens zijn in de meerderheid. Toch valt er voor de springliefhebbers ook genoeg te kiezen. Zo gaat het Carrera VDL-hengstveulen Urrera in de vierde generatie terug op stammoeder Dwermie, bekend als moeder van onder meer de hengsten Mermus R en Odermus R. Het merrieveulen Urissa (v. Kannan Jr.) komt uit een 1.40m-springende moeder van Numero Uno en is nauwverwant aan het 1.45m-springpaard Gentle (v. Numero Uno).

Bekijk de collectie

De collectie is vanaf vandaag hier te bekijken. Vanaf vrijdag 16 augustus kan er online geboden worden op de veulens uit deze collectie. Daarvoor dient er vooraf geregistreerd te worden als bieder en op maandag 19 augustus vanaf 20.00 uur sluiten de biedingen.

Foals from Olympic stallions featured in KWPN Online Foal Auction

The auction season is in full swing, and today marks the presentation of the third collection from the KWPN Online Foal Auction. This collection includes seven showjumping and 28 dressage foals, open for bidding from Friday, August the 16^th, until Monday, August the 19^th. On the final day, the lots will begin closing from 8:00 PM onwards. Renowned sires, including Olympic stallions Ferro and Glock’s Toto Jr., as well as rising talents like Extreme U.S., One Million, and Kjento, are represented in this auction.

Over the past years, the KWPN Auctions platform has developed into an international showcase where breeders and buyers frequently meet. This is the third foal auction out of a total of seven editions of the KWPN Online Foal Auction, spanning from July to October.

Olympic sires
In 2000, Coby van Baalen was part of the silver medal-winning team at the Sydney Olympics with Ferro. This auction features the promising colt USA (ds.Jameson RS), descended from this renowned black stallion. This year, Glock’s Toto Jr. performed at the Olympics under Hans Peter Minderhoud, and he is represented in this collection by the colt Ubis (ds.Ferdeaux). Both foals hail from damlines that have produced multiple Small Tour horses. Another noteworthy foal is the colt Uzzo O (Ozzy TN x Rousseau), whose dam, Zialita O, previously produced the Swedish-approved stallion Edison O (s.Johnson) and KWPN champion stallion Handsome O (s.Johnson). The filly Unique-Olympic (For Ferrero x Franklin) was bred out of a half-sister to the KWPN-approved stallion Pjethro (s.Kjento).

Showjumping foals
Though dressage foals dominate the collection, there is also plenty to interest showjumping enthusiasts. The Carrera VDL colt Urrera, for example, traces back to the foundational mare Dwermie in the fourth generation, known as the dam of the stallions Mermus R and Odermus R. The filly Urissa (s.Kannan Jr.) was bred out of a 1.40m-jumping mare by Numero Uno and is closely related to the international 1.45m level performer Gentle (s.Numero Uno).
