Only 12 months ago we came together as friends and family to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Performance Sales International with founders Paul Schockemöhle and Ullrich Kasselmann. Many of our loyal customers and supporters from around the world celebrated with us.
It was a time to reflect on how far the P.S.I. Auction has come. From its inaugural beginnings in Newport, Rhode Island to today’s record-setting events in Germany, and also to thank Paul and Ulli for their life’s work. The next generation at the P.S.I. helm, Francois Kasselmann and Vivien Schockemöhle fittingly honoured their fathers with a surprise award in a spectacular presentation. 500 guests unanimously joined in with a standing ovation!
Conquer America

“We are here to celebrate two men, who would have you believe they are just two poor farm boys that wanted to conquer America 40 years ago,” Francois and Vivien remarked in their laudation. The two farm boys not only conquered the American market in 1981, they set the bar for modern sport horse sales. P.S.I. has become synonymous with top-quality performance horses that make their mark in dressage and showjumping arenas around the world. When the auction hammer rises in the indoor arena at Ankum, horse people around the world collectively hold their breath. Which future champions will emerge from here today?
A Recipe for Success
The honour roll of P.S.I. graduates boasts an ultra-impressive line up of Young Horse World Champions, Bundeschampions, Olympic contenders, Grand Prix winners and top producers in the breeding barn. This success is based on a unique concept. Here you purchase a horse that has not only been carefully selected for its quality movement, superb rideability, flawless conformation and future potential, but has also been meticulously prepared for this moment from the day it was born.
Breeding with the best dressage and jumping bloodlines and offering youngstock a healthy environment to develop at our own Lewitz and Osthoff studs ensures the constant high quality buyers have come to expect.

Organize the first tournaments
The global pandemic has changed the international tournament calendar significantly, but the teams from the Schockemöhle and Kasselmann stables were still able to organize the first tournaments. With this experience we will present the 41st P.S.I. Auction on December 5th, 2020 at the P.S.I. Sport and Auction Center in Ankum.

We are confident that we will be able to realize the P.S.I. Auction with the usual standard even if in different conditions.
We are looking forward to present this year’s collection and to continue the “Success made by P.S.I.”.
